Textile recycling/ Recycling of used clothes
Every German citizen „uses“ approximately 14kg of clothes each year. This makes an average of 120000 tons of used clothes per year which have to be collected, sorted and recycled. Due to the fact that still a large amount of used clothes is disposed of via the domestic waste, the rate of actually recycled clothes is far below 100% - here we find a lot of potential for further environmentally-friendly recycling.
As a certified waste management company and member of the trade association Textil-Recycling e.V, HOTEX GmbH is highly engaged in every step involved in the recycling-circle: collection of used textiles, sorting of material, manufacturing of wiping rags and 2nd hand clothes from the stock of material collected in Germany.
